I recently had two amazing experiences: The first was getting to speak to a wonderful group of Rhino's at Bensalem High School, and the second was getting to visit Kildare's Notre Dame, which is under construction.  Being on Notre Dame's Campus, seeing the stadium, and the history was inspiring.

Opening a Kildare's this summer on Notre Dame's campus is a dream come true and makes me live the Rhino philosophy even more! It also makes me respect the commitment so many people have made to make such a prestigious athletic and academic program. It is a result of people that care immensely and go the extra mile...

Speaking of caring and going the extra mile the Bensalem High School experience impacted me even more than Notre Dame.  I spoke to an energetic, enthusiastic group of students who were grabbing life by the horns and living their dreams.  Speaking to High Schools is not always easy. Sometimes you have to pour your energy into an apathetic crowd and energize them to see their potential.  However, this was certainly not the case at Bensalem High School, where teacher CJ Mills had already started his students on the Rhino path.  They have read great books like Think and Grow Rich, The Secret and yes...even Do It Rhino Style!  I walked into a room of teenage Rhinos eager to live their dreams! These teenagers saw life through optimistic, enthusiastic, persistent Rhino eyes! It was amazing to see the excitement on their face and to hear about their dreams to live an incredible future. They asked insightful questions and they are actively planning their futures!  The students even made a short Rhino Video!

Sometimes, all it takes is a caring person like Teacher CJ Mills to take the time to teach his students the secrets to success, to lead by example using the Rhino way, and to give, love, and serve the young people around him. In twenty years, I would love to speak to that group of students again and hear about their adventures.  It’s not going to be an easy adventure.  There will be ups and downs, successes and failures, but if they keep their horn sharpened and persist, despite adversity, there will be some amazing stories of success to share twenty years from now.

Rhino Action Steps: DO THIS TODAY!

1. Share RhinoLiving.com with a younger, less experienced colleague or coworker.  Show them how to set their goals.

2. If you’re a teacher, make your students read the Rhino Living blogs. Make them write a summary on their favorite blog and how it impacts their life. (This worked great for CJ Mills and the students at Bensalem.)

3. Take the time today to review your bigger goals and take three action steps towards it—it could be an email, a phone call or a letter. Just get out there and charge forward!!
